In May 2018, the museum unveiled a cairn built by Lyle's Concrete under the umbrella of Canada 150 throughout 2017. The cairn commemorates the significance of First Nations people in Canada and features plaques from each First Nations Band around Chase with theme of "Together We are Stronger." The cairn is topped by a large brass Canadian Pacific Railway bell that can still be rung and also contains a time capsule. The Museum also unveiled a third flagpole and Secwepemc nation flag that flies alongside the flags of Canada and British Columbia.
